Title: Artificial Intelligence in the Financial Sector - Innovation and Risks

Abstract: Artificial intelligence has come a long way and achieved many breakthroughs.
Today, this technology is in the focus of public debate again and is increasingly
part of our everyday lives. The financial sector is no exception to this trend. As this
technical paper demonstrates, given the risks associated with efficiency-enhancing
business opportunities, there may be a case for a possible sector-specific regulatory
framework, which is essential to exploit the potential of the technology while
minimising the risks.
